BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Hyman received his medical degree from Cornell University, New York and completed his urologic residency at New York and Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He completed additional training and expertise in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is certified by the American Board of Urology.

 

Dr. Hyman’s urologic sub-specialty experience includes infertility, incontinence and other problems with urination, kidney stones, benign prostate enlargement, erectile dysfunction and cancers of the kidney, prostate testicles and bladder. He has developed a major focus in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. Doctor Hyman was a member of the steering committee that resulted in the acquisition of the da Vinci Robot at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center and heads the urologic division of robotic surgery. He was one of the very first urologists to use the newest generation of the da Vinci Robot-S in the western United States.

 

Dr. Hyman is a member of the American Urologic Association, the Western Section American Urologic Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, and the Los Angeles County Medical Association. He is married with 3 children and enjoys running, cycling, and skiing.
